The area known as the "Blake Road Corridor" is a neighborhood on the eastern side of Hopkins, MN. The one mile by one-half mile area consists of over 1,400 housing units. It is bordered by Highway 7 to the north, Excelsior Boulevard to the south, and the city of St. Louis Park to the east. On the west, Highway 169 separates the neighborhood from downtown Hopkins. In addition to the number of local businesses, houses, and apartments that make up the Blake Road Corridor, Minnehaha Creek, Cottageville Park, Oakes Park, the Hiawatha Oaks Preserve, and the Cedar Lake LRT Trail are also located within the neighborhood.
Several development projects are taking place along Blake Road. These include the expansion of Cottageville Park, the redevelopment of the Cold Storage Site, and the construction of the Southwest Light Rail Transit line with a stop on Blake Road.
